Base camp was at Browne Lake, which is easily accessible from Manila, Utah. The campground has several group sites. We reserved two group sites that had plenty of room for two trailers, vehicles for 7 additional vehicles, and 9+ tents. Within a short 3 minute walk was Browne Lake. The lake was a great venue for kayaking and fishing (stocked with trout). The campsite is within 35-40 minutes drive to the Flaming Gorge Dam.

Activities they did

Kayaking and fishing at Browne Lake; float the Green River from Flaming Gorge Dam to Little Hole (7 miles); swimming and cliff jumping at Mustang Ridge/Sunny Cove; several hikes in near vicinty (from the Browne Lake campsite we took two different hike for boys of varying abilities--Leidy Peak (14 miles) and Tepee Lake (7 miles); disc golf (we brought the equipment). We wanted to do baptisms at the Vernal Temple but not available due to COVID.

Pros

Great camp with lots of different acitivities. We went July 28-31. The weather was 70's at Browne Lake and upper 80's at Flaming Gorge. The location was beautiful. The weather was a bit unpredictable--we had rain each night (one night was a severe thunderstorm).

Cons

Distance made it difficult for young men to come for part of the camp. It was about 3.5 - 4 hour drive.
