Temple Tour

Currently it is difficult to schedule baptisms for the dead at the temple, but as leaders we have felt a great need for the young men to be there. We ended up scheduling an outside tour with a service missionary who was able to point out and explain a lot of the symbolism on the exterior of the temple and tie it in to the covenants we make inside the temple.

After she was done we had the young men spread out and find a place to be alone and let the spirit go to work on them for about 20 minutes before being gathered up and they were able to bare testimony of the temple.

We followed up our activity with discussing the experience in our priesthood class Sunday. It was great to hear each of the young men share their experience and how they felt the Spirit that night. We then made up scones to finish it off. Great way to get the boys to the temple and feel of the spirit when scheduling baptisms is difficult.
