Stake Young Men Campout
Goblin Valley, June 13-15
All young men and their Dads are invited to join us on this adventure. We will be camping next to beautiful red rock bluffs, hiking in slot canyons, and playing amongst the hoodoos. We will strengthen our friendship and brotherhood as we learn to 'Seek Him' together in the outdoors.
What to bring:
(check them off as you pack them in a bag)
- Change of clothes
- Hiking shoes/boots
- Change of shoes
- Sunscreen
- Hat
- Sunglasses
- Jacket
- Two water bottles (Insulated preferable)
- Backpack to hike with (a school one will work great)
- Snacks
- Camp chair
- Toiletries
- Sleeping pad, bag, and pillow
- Flashlight
- Scriptures
- Pair of leather gloves (optional)
- Tent (ask your leaders if they'll be provided by the ward)
Parents Section
We will be hiking at least 6 miles on Friday with a little bit of elevation gain. Having your young man go on some walks or hikes with Dad could make this more enjoyable for both of them.
Dads, I know you'll have to take a day off work to come. If you can make it happen, make it happen. You won't regret it.
Ask your ward when they plan to leave on Thursday June13th. We should be home the afternoon of Saturday June 15th around 4 pm.
