Youth Co-ed Volleyball Tournament

March 3rd and 4th from 6:00 to 8:30pm.

It's finally here! The week you've all been waiting for! Our annual Stake Youth Volleyball tournament is about to be underway!

As a quick recap, we play first team to 25 by rally scoring (meaning each time someone serves, someone gets a point). Each game will last around 35 minutes so let's see how many games we can get in before the time is up. We'll play 7 vs 7 (three up front, one in the middle, and three on the back row). If you don't have 7 show up, we'll have you play with whomever shows up. Come a little early and warm up. Each team will play both nights, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

Stake Youth leaders will be at all the games and will help coordinate a score keeper and a referee or will do it themselves. Just know we may use some of you to help us out.

Rules

• Rally scoring. Play to 25, (NO win by 2) then switch sides. Play as many games as you can during your timeslot.
• Ball landing on the volleyball line is "in".
• Servers are allowed to cross over the serve line. If a player is unable to serve from behind the serve line, allow them to move up to a point where they can get the ball over.
• If the ball hits the ceiling and crosses the net to the other side, the ball is considered out of bounds, point for the other team.
• If the ball hits the partition, then no point is awarded and the play is a "redo".
• Avoid going into the net for saftey reasons.
• No blocking/spiking of serves.
• Walls are out of bounds.
• Each team should have at least 1 or more girls on the court at any given time
• Youth of younger age can play up
• Youth of older age cannot play down
